We participated in the "Only in Queens Festival" on Sunday June 23, 2019. We had our displays set up outside the pavilion and had many interested visitors.  As an added bonus, our friend from Orlando (a la Disney) Jason Tiki Tackett, a fantastic digital artist, was signing his original design NYSP posters for  a donation to our project. It was a successful campaign raising over $500! Thank you again Jason!

We are very excited to close the 2019 season with continued great promise towards the future of the NYSP. NYC Parks held a ceremonial groundbreaking at the pavilion on November 8, 2019 to begin restoration work on the towers! We were interviewed by CBS NY TV! Check it out HERE.

We also provided a one hour tour to NCModernist November 9, 2019. The trip to NY from NC was lead by George Smart and a group of about 30 people spent a few days in NYC exploring modern architecture. Of course our Pavilion was included in their tour! Mitch led the group with the help of Gary and Stephanie and they enjoyed it very much! We also received a generous donation to the cause. Thank you again NCModernist!

Over several paint days we completed a fresh coat of American Cheese Yellow on the mezzanine railing all around the inside of the pavilion. Next season we continue our work on the outside! Stay warm!
